(Honolulu, HI) -- Officials are warning drivers about a traffic advisory for the Kapiolani Boulevard water system project. The Honolulu Board of Water Supply says crews are installing a new waterline. Drivers should expect lane closures through Thursday in the Diamond-Head bound direction of Kapiolani Boulevard between Paani Street and Hoawa Street. Then, on Thursday and Friday, lanes will be closed at McCully Street and Kapiolani Boulevard, impacting at least one makai-bound lane on McCully Street and at least one Ewa-bound lane on Kapiolani. Crews are replacing 28-hundred feet of a 12-inch water main installed in 1938 and a one-thousand-feet of an eight-inch water main installed in 1953.
