(Honolulu, HI) -- Hawaii is apparently the worst state to make a living. That's according to a study conducted by MoneyRates.com. The online financial site placed the Aloha State in dead last citing its cost of living is one-and-a-half times the national average. MoneyRates also gave Hawaii a poor work environment score. Washington State was ranked the best state to make a living.
