(Honolulu, HI) -- Efforts to replace the late state health director Loretta Fuddy appear to have come to an end. Governor Abercrombie today appointed Dr. Linda Rosen, a Health Department division director and pediatrician for the post. Rosen's appointment has to be approved by the state Senate. She would replace Fuddy, who died in a plane crash off Molokai two months ago. Abercrombie says Rosen's 30 years of experience in the medical field make her well qualified for the position.
