(Wailea, HI) -- A new hotel is coming to the affluent Wailea resort area on Maui. "Pacific Business News" reports a California developer is planning to build a 200-room hotel under the Marriott flag. A Maui Planning Commission official says it will be more affordable than other hotels in the area. The commission recently unanimously approved plans for the three-to-four-story, 180-thousand-square-foot-hotel. It's expected to generate 260 temporary construction jobs and 52 permanent hotel jobs.
