(Honolulu, HI) -- Hawaii appears like it will dodge the brunt of another tropical storm. Tropical Storm Karina has stalled about 12-hundred miles east of Hilo and forecasters say it will likely start to pull away from Hawaii. That's due to Karina being pulled toward the much larger Tropical Storm Lowell that is moving northwest away from Baja, California. Meteorologists say neither storm is threatening land at the moment. That's good news for Hawaii residents, some of whom are still in the dark following Tropical Storm Iselle hitting the Big Island region earlier this month.
