(Undated) -- Israel hopes the Gaza truce proposed by Egypt will help get rockets out of the Palestinian enclave. If not Israel stands ready to ramp up its counterattacks. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says Israel will "broaden the military operation to achieve the required quiet" if the Islamist group Hamas doesn't accept the truce. Hamas keeps firing rockets into Israel and says its leadership is "still in consultation" and hasn't taken a position on the Egyptian proposal.
