(Honolulu, HI) -- Hawaii forecasters are keeping an eye on a new tropical storm that has formed in the eastern Pacific. Tropical Storm Genevieve had sustained winds of over 45 miles per hour when it was formed about 14-hundred miles east of the Big Island early this morning. Forecasters say the movement of Genevieve means it will likely weaken as it gets closer to Hawaii. It's too early to tell if the remnants of the storm will have effect on Hawaii weather in the upcoming days.
