(Killeen, TX) -- One of the three soldiers killed in this week's shooting at Fort Hood in Texas was a former Schofield Barracks serviceman. Former military officials tell the "Star-Advertiser" Carlos Lazaney had served as a supply sergeant with the 57th Military Police Company at Schofield. Lazaney left Hawaii in 2011 for his new role at Fort Hood. Joshua Adams served with Lazaney at Schofield and tells the paper Lazaney was the "epitome of what you would want a leader to be in the Army."
