(Honolulu, HI) -- The Hawaii Department of Public Safety is warning the public about a new scam. Callers claim to be sheriff's deputies reporting failure of the person to report for jury duty. A warrant can be avoided by sending money. DPS never calls people about jury duty or to solicit money. Anyone receiving such a call is asked to report it to DPS at 586-1352.
