(Honolulu, HI) -- Health officials are working to determine the severity of a measles case reported on Oahu. An eleven-month-old baby contracted the contagious disease during a recent trip to the Philippines. The child was not protected against measles because children get their first dose of the measles vaccine when they are a year old. Some parents are now opting to get their kids vaccinated a little sooner due to the reported measles case. Measles symptoms include rash, fever and a cough.
